New hope Grief Support

Since 2003, New Hope Grief Support Community has been serving bereaved children and families in the Greater Long Beach area and surrounding communities. Their mission is to help bereaved children and families find hope and healing through connection and support.  Together, through peer support groups, family camps, community groups, and dinner parties they offer an opportunity to share experiences and feelings in a safe environment free of judgment.  Our vision is to see bereaved children and families with strong support systems living good and flourishing lives after loss.

Precious Lamb Preschool

Every day in Long Beach there are children facing uncertainty. Homelessness, food insecurity, and lack of transportation, among other concerns, create an unstable environment for young children making the ability to thrive very challenging. Precious Lamb seeks to be the first stop for these children on their way to education and breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty in their family. Their goals are to educate, support and enrich children in their daily lives. Precious Lamb Preschool is available free of charge to children living in shelters and rehabilitation programs in the greater Long Beach area.

Aleph-Baja

The Aleph Baja project exists to support youth and families through mentoring, leadership development and restorative outdoor activities like surfing and rock climbing. Their dream of restoration is rooted in the teachings and example of Jesus to “love your neighbour as yourself.” It means working side by side to uplift and inspire one another. At the end of the day our vision is simple: we want to see young people thrive.
